Welcome to the UNLV Department of Health Physics!! Our Department offers undergraduate academic programs in the areas of Comprehensive Medical Imaging, Health Physics, and Nuclear Medicine. Graduate programs are offered in Health Physics (M.S.) and Radiochemistry (Ph.D.).
Each of these programs are taught by nationally-renown faculty that are committed to ensure that our graduates are prepared to be successful in their chosen area of specialty.
I am always asked by prospective students “Will I get a job when I graduate?” The answer is a resounding yes!! Not only are jobs abundant in the medical imaging and health physics fields, but they continue to be high-paying jobs.
I am extremely proud of each and every one of our graduates. I am equally proud of the faculty and staff we have assembled to provide you with the best possible education in the radiation safety and medical imaging areas.
